Our Process
Ten stages take a cinema from a first conversation to a calibrated, handed-over room. Each stage ends with something you can review. Timelines depend on scope and are set in the proposal.
- 1
Initial consultation
We listen to how you want to use the room, review plans or photos, and agree the scope, expectations and next steps.
Outcome: Agreed brief - 2
Site survey and room assessment
We measure the space and check structure, ceiling void, power, cooling, ventilation and neighbouring rooms.
Outcome: Measurements and survey notes - 3
Cinema concept and design
Layout, style, screen size, seating plan and finishes are drawn up so you can see the room before it is built.
Outcome: Concept design - 4
Acoustic and technical planning
Treatment, isolation, speaker positions, cable routes, equipment racks and cooling are planned and coordinated with the other trades.
Outcome: Technical drawings and specification - 5
Equipment and seating selection
Projector, screen, audio and seating are chosen against the plan, the brief and the budget.
Outcome: Approved equipment schedule - 6
Interior construction and acoustic treatment
Isolation layers, ceilings, walls, flooring and acoustic panels are built and finished.
Outcome: Finished room shell - 7
AV equipment installation
Projector, screen, speakers, equipment rack and cabling are installed and labelled.
Outcome: Installed system - 8
Lighting and automation integration
Cove, star ceiling, aisle lights, curtains and screen are linked to scenes and control.
Outcome: Programmed scenes - 9
Testing, calibration and optimisation
Levels, delays, room correction and image settings are measured and tuned in the finished room.
Outcome: Calibrated system and test results - 10
Handover and after-sales support
We show you how to use the system, hand over documentation and agree support arrangements for the project.
Outcome: Documentation and support terms as agreed in the proposal
Start with a conversation.
The consultation is where scope, expectations and next steps are agreed.
